How to Play UK – The National Lottery?

The National Lottery is the only state franchised national lottery in the United Kingdom.

The lottery has created thousands of millionaires since the first draw in 1994. BBC UK Lotto is played on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Send in your six number before a game stop, take a pint of Guinness and hope for the best with the rest of the British people.

Play today and get the chance to pick up Britain’s highest jackpot there is. Simply select six numbers from 1–59 or pick Lucky Dip for a random selection. Choose the numbers of  lines you want to play. You can play up to 7 lines of numbers on each play slip and buy up to 10 play slips at a time. Then, choose the draws and number of weeks you’d like to play.

You can play up to 8 weeks in advance.

Players must be at least 16 years old to buy scratchcards or to play Lotto, Thunderball or Euromillions

Curiosities:

According to the law from 1698 was all lotteries in England illegal. There were some small exceptions with some small lotteries that legalized between 1956 and 1976. But in 1993 gave the British government a government license to the state lottery with a franchise to a private operator. The 25th May 1994 was awarded Camelton Group this mission and the first draw took place 19th of november 1994 Noel Edmonds as the host. The first numbers drawn were 30, 3, 5, 44, 14, 22, 10 and shared directly out a jackpot of £ 5,874,778 which was shared by five people.

Change from August 2016: If nobody wins the Lotto jackpot when it hits £22,000,000 or more, it will go to the next draw one final time. Then, the jackpot must be won. If no one matches all six main numbers, the prize will be shared by the players with the most of the winning numbers.
